Barry Mence has served as executive chairman and as a director and substantial shareholder of Sopheon since its inception in 1993 when he was one of the founding members. From 1976 to 1990, Mr. Mence was the major shareholder and group managing director of the Rendeck Group of Companies, a software and services group based in the Netherlands.
Andrew (Andy) Michuda was appointed chief executive officer of Sopheon in September 2000. From 1997 to 2000, he served as chief executive officer and an executive director of Teltech Resource Network Corporation, which was acquired by Sopheon. Prior to joining Sopheon, Mr. Michuda held senior leadership positions at Control Data.
Responsible for all product development, product management, customer success and support, Don Sarno brings over 15 years of experience in designing and developing enterprise software applications. His previous experience with Intuit provided him with world class customer centric development principles Sopheon leverages today.
Mr. Rutten leads Sopheon’s business consulting group in EMEA and plays an integral role in the company’s ongoing product research. He was one of the founding members of Sopheon. Mr. Rutten earned an advanced degree in Applied Linguistics in 1973. He subsequently worked for several institutes of higher education teaching linguistics and communications. He was a full-time adjunct professor at the European Institute for Public Administration (EIPA), a post-academic institute for research and high-level training. At EIPA, he was a permanent advisor to the European Commission, counseling them on IT and policy development.
Mr. Heller has been leading technology strategy and product development at Sopheon since 1999. He earlier worked for Baan Company as vice president of product management, a central role in the development of the Baan front-office software products. Mr. Heller began his career with IBM, where he held a variety of positions in information technology, product development, sales, and consulting.
Pieter leads European Sales for Sopheon. He is a seasoned senior executive with over 20 years of experience in the enterprise software business. He has worked in leadership roles for Fygir logistic information systems, Systems & Computer Technologies and most recently Infor, where he was responsible for the supply chain business unit in EMEA. Pieter holds a degree in Computing Science from the Technical University of Eindhoven, the Netherlands and holds a post graduate degree in Software Technology and Logistics Management Systems.
