Sopheon is looking for a Product Marketing Manager reporting to the company’s VP of Product Marketing. The Product Marketing Manager drives Sopheon’s outward facing product positioning, demand generation, messaging, competitive analysis, sales enablement and launch activities. We are looking for a person that can easily go between strategy and tactics while working collaboratively across Sopheon. As a Product Marketing Manager, you’ll develop an in-depth understanding of buyer needs, buyer personas, key market trends, and the competitive landscape to influence how Sopheon takes its products to market.
The Senior Product Marketing Manager represents Sopheon’s products, both internally and externally, having continual in-depth interactions with existing customers, partners, and prospects.
Responsibilities
- Build compelling messaging and positioning for Accolade, Sopheon’s market leading product, and implement in collaboration with the Marketing team across all customer-facing channels
- Inform and influence Product Management on decisions related to product roadmap and pricing/packaging
- Work with Marketing, Product Management, Sales, Pre-sales, and Services to drive successful product launches
- Develop effective go to market strategy leveraging available and nascent levers including sales teams, professional services, customer, and seller incentive programs
- Develop programs and campaigns that will generate awareness and leads for Accolade, including email campaigns, webinars and events
- Contribute to messaging and content creation such as blog posts that will positively impact market influencers
- Determine the appropriate KPIs to measure the effectiveness of the demand generation program
- Take a value-based approach to creating sales / marketing content and enablement aligned to various stages of the sales cycle, including sales decks, case studies, brochures, datasheets, web pages, videos etc.
- Maintain a deep understanding of competitive products and market/industry trends
- Together with the Product Management, educate both internal and external stakeholders on our product features and their benefits
- Provide Marketing with product level value propositions and use cases for messaging, promotions and content development
- Stay abreast of industry trends, market research, thought-leadership, analyst perspectives and customer feedback.
- Create a sales enablement plan and collaborate with Sales to drive their understanding of Sopheon’s entire product portfolio
Skills
- Adept at marketing SaaS-based enterprise software offerings
- Ability to make confident prioritization/trade-off decisions and develop creative solutions to problems facing the organization
- Strong win/win negotiator, ability to drive win/win outcomes from discussions and debates
- Must be able to learn, grasp and communicate relevant technologies, understand key differentiators and drive clear and compelling marketing messages to all relevant stakeholders
- A pitch-in, get-it-done attitude
- Executive presence and clear communication
- Ability to promote and grow a culture of innovation and open idea exchange
- Proven ability to collaborate across various groups, build relationships and manage effectively across a geographically dispersed organization -- lead without being in charge
- Ability to learn quickly and apply new methodologies and technologies to solve problems practically
Education & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree required
- 5-7 years of experience in Product Marketing, Product Management or equivalent roles
- Experience with the “Job To Be Done” framework and processes
- Certification or equivalent experience in agile development methodologies
- Bonus: Experience with product-led products (PLG) and growth initiatives
