Events Marketing Manager

Location: Remote - United States

In this role you will be responsible for planning and managing engaging virtual, in-person and hybrid events that elevate a growth-driven brand, drive demand generation, support ongoing education of customers, and create internal corporate alignment and community. This involves all aspects of events including content, sponsorships, and analytics. We are looking for someone who is enthusiastic and creative in designing experiences. Principal Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Manage Sopheon’s North America tradeshow/conference program:
    • Research, evaluate and recommend events (in-person and virtual) for sales and marketing opportunities
    • Project manage all aspects of exhibiting at events, including coordinating internal and external resources, managing vendors and shipping
    • Be responsible for generating and tracking leads, including working with Marketing to develop campaigns
    • Report against goals and KPIs
  • Manage Sopheon’s webinar program:
    • Project manage, produce, and facilitate live and on-demand webinar experiences for lead generation, customer education and internal communication
    • Plan webinar calendars, secure and coordinate speakers, review or create content for compelling presentations, measure and analyze performance, and maintain an archive
    • Work collaboratively with the marketing team to drive registrations and promote event participation across multiple channels
  • Manage Sopheon’s speaker program:
    • Research and recommend speaking opportunities in keeping with our strategy and themes
    • Manage the application process, including maintaining and monitoring the calendar of opportunities, speaker profiles, topics and abstracts
  • Manage Sopheon’s annual internal kick-off event and North America annual user meeting:
    • Project manage each event, select locations, guide agenda/content decisions and ship resources
    • Book hotels and other venues, including selecting group meal menus
    • Manage vendors including reviewing and tracking invoices and expenditures
  • Assist with organizing events internationally on occasion
  • For all events, track, analyze and report on event performance
  • Manage an inventory of branded giveaways for events and internal company use
  • Work collaboratively with the marketing and sales teams to contribute to integrated marketing campaign development and execution related to events 

Skills & Experience Required:

  • 5+ years of experience managing B2B in-person and digital events
  • Advanced proficiency with Zoom
  • Familiarize yourself with HubSpotand Salesforce.com
  • Hands-on experience with virtual event platforms and apps, including building out events on the platform
  • Experience evaluating and negotiating contracts and working with external suppliers, including event organizers, event locations, graphic designers, etc.
  • Experience with Photoshop, Illustrator and other graphic programs is a plus
  • Attention to detail, metrics oriented
  • Excellent oral and written communication, time management, organizational and decision-making skills
  • Ability to work independently and cross-functionally
  • Ability to think critically and in a proactive manner.
  • Ability to work independently and take a project from concept to completion
  • Expertise in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams)

Education

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in marketing a plus
  • Marketing-related certifications and courses

Travel Requirements

  • Some travel required but not a significant amount (less than 20%)
